i'm sorry it took you this long just to see
THAT I'M ROLLING AND ROLLING AROUND IN MY MIND

It was a beautiful weekend day. The sky shone bright blue, and only a few scattered clouds littered the beautiful sight. Kiley lay in the courtyard, watching as the clouds went past. She remembered doing this back home with her brothers, of course that was in between the little wrestling matches they got into, and when they stopped to take a break they would lay in the grass and stare up at the sky. Her eyes, matching the color of the sky, dreamed. Dreamed of going up into the sky, farther than anyone had every gone before. She always fathomed the depth of the universe, and she wondered where it started and where it ended.
But of course no one could really know that. Perhaps way into the future they could, but not in this day and age. What scientists already knew was just simply overwhelming, never mind the exact depth or length of a universe. She was always interested in things like that. She loved natural disasters, too. She loved tornado's, hurricanes, tsunamis. You name it, she loved it. She found so much interest in it, and that's what made her go to college for science. Her main focus was anthropology, but in close second was physics. She just found it all to be remarkable.
When Kiley was a small child, she had visited the States as a vacation with her family. In the hotel they stayed at there was a collection of movies that you could borrow to watch in your room. There were many movies that she had never heard of, but one that immediately caught her eye was 'Twister'. She begged and begged her parents to let her watch it until, finally, they gave in. To put it simply, the movie was about the people who follow tornado's to discover more about them. That was the first time she got hooked on natural disasters. The thrill of being so close to a tornado was so real, and ever since then that's what she has been aspiring to become.
The birds chirped in the trees surrounding the courtyard, and it seemed to snap Kiley from her reverie. She glanced at her watch; half an hour had gone by already just by looking up at the sky. Thankfully she didn't have class today. She would much rather spend her time daydreaming. Indeed, she was a dreamer. And indeed, she was focused on making those dreams come true. Her blond hair splayed out around her, she gave a pleasant sigh. She loved being outside. She could never understand how one could get so hooked to television or video games when there was a whole entire world out there waiting to be explored, unknown places ready to be discovered. It boggled her.
She rolled over onto her stomach, her feet crossed at the ankles in the air. She spotted an ant and, gently, guided him onto her hand. She watched as he roamed her palm. She smiled. Life was so brilliant, whether it was the life of a human or the life of an ant. She always went out of her way to not step on the poor old bugs, to never kill a spider, and try to not eat much meat. She was a vegetarian in the making and so far she was doing splendid. She wasn't the type to go around preaching and telling people that eating meat was bad; they had their lives and she had hers. She wasn't going to tell someone what to eat. But she did, however, always made sure people watched out for the bugs and worms and whatever else. She continued to watch the ant, vaguely hearing the sound of approaching footsteps behind her.
