Dante look up at the windmill where the party was being held and then looked down at his watch everyone here was going to break curfew tonight and none of them care, to be honest Dante didn't care either he didn't know any of the people who had been killed on campus so the danger of it all wasn't really an issue for him he did however worry about Eli he knew she could handle herself but that didnt stop him from being worried about his girlfriend. They had been at the party for just over an hour and although they had arrived together in the last thirty minutes or so they had been dragged of by different friends to catch up. Well in Dantes case he had been to talk to Jason about there latest dealings something he was never keen for Eli to overhear.
Dante laughed at a joke someone in the circle of people he was standing in said even though he hadn't been paying much attention he had been following Eli with his eyes, she was beautiful to everyone she met and Dante knew he was lucky to have her. Looking around him Dante smiled, the party was a good one, everyone dressed in there Togas and laughing loudly, drinking, dancing it was a college party through and through. Slipping away from the group he had been in Dante walked over to a beer keg that was placed just outside the entrace of the mill, he quickly got himself a drink and then turned around scanning the area for Eli again. He spotted her through a crowd and quickly and quietly headed in her direction.
He was only ten feet away when he noticed to two guys hovering around her and the girls she was with and he paused assessing the situation, one of them seemed to be chatting up one of the other girls but the other was hanging around just a little to close to Eli. Dante was the overly jealous type but he knew the guy by reputation and it wasn't a good one. Striding over to the group Dante slipped in behind Eli and put a hand on her hip giving her a quick smile then turning to the guy who had taken a small step backward to let Dante through. "Alright mate" Dante's voice was cool but had a tone that said 'dont even try it' to it, nodding the guy turned to his friend and started a new conversation. Turning to Wli Dante smiled "You having fun?" he asked her, taking a sip of his drink his hand still resting lightly on her hip.

it's been said and done. every beautiful thoughts been already sung, so i guess right now [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,10,true][atrb=style,background-image: url('http://i53.tinypic.com/wb98wn.jpg');,true] HERE'S ANOTHER ONE !
Pulling another allnighter hadn't been the plan for Elikolani. In fact, the plan had been to finish her written report based on her lab, get some studying in, and sleep early. But between the recent murder of Samara and most of her friends being on the list..... Well it was no wonder she couldn't concentrate. She could barely even swallow water without being sick to the stomach. The previous deaths... Well, to her, they were just stories she hears on the news. but now that one of her friends is dead and her other friends are on the list, it just became that much more personal. She felt like she could barely breathe. Let alone let in a wink of sleep. Not only had she not been able to get some sleep, she hadn't even gotten started on her report. The report that was due tomorrow morning. Not to mention she had only studied one line out of her text book, and she's not quite sure if she even understood it. Pathetic, right? but every second she spent by herself was another second she feared for her friends' lives. It didn't help that Aimee and herself had gotten into a fight. Yet again. About Dante. She was so sick and tired of having people pressure her to break up with him. She loved him. Truly and completely. She was head over heels for him, and nothing would change her mind. She didn't understand how people couldn't get that into that thick head of theirs. She has been dating Dante for a year now. The least they could do was at least smile and pretend they were happy for her. Was that so much to ask for? She never asked for anything in return. Never asked for a birthday or Christmas gift. And the one time she asked for something in return, they didn't give it to her.
So forgive her if she got a little defensive and sensitive around the subject. She hated that he dealt drugs to people. He knew that. Everyone knew that. But just because he was a dealer, it didn't make him a terrible person. And sure, maybe her morals didn't stand for it, but it wasn't like she was going to dump him for that sole reason. That'd just be wrong. Their occupation didn't define their personality. It didn't define their future. And it certainly did not define the person. And it wasn't like she hasn't tried to get him to stop for her. She's tried and tried and nothing has ever worked. He just wouldn't quit for her. And she blamed Jason Everton. First he takes her boyfriend from her and now her best friend too? That boy moves fast. If it weren't for him, Aimee and her wouldn't even be fighting in the first place. She was just trying to protect her best friend. Was that so wrong? Aimee had always been the shy type, and she was even more gullible than Elikolani. And it wasn't like Aimee was the social type. She didn't know how Jason was. She couldn't possibly understand how bad of an influence he was. But she did. And she was just trying to look out for her best friend. She knew that Aimee knew how to take care of herself, but was it so bad that all she wanted to do was protect her? Guess it was because now they weren't even talking, and that bothered her even more. She felt like a crappy best friend. She understood why Aimee was mad at her, but she had to understand how much she despised Jason. She had every right to be angry with him. And yet, while Aimee was allowed to flirt with the drug dealer, she wasn't? Eli sighed audibly, shaking her head. What was she doing? She did not just think that. That was a bitchy thing to think. She forcibly shoved her text book away from her sight, huffing as she leaned back in a chair. Now she was in a grumpy mood. Then again, she has been in a grumpy mood for a while now. And the fact that the nightmares haven't stopped didn't help.
The buzzing of her phone brought her back out to reality as she read over the text message, reminding her that the toga party was tonight. She sighed, how could she forget? Everyone was talking about it. And she had been invited. Still, she knew she probably shouldn't be going. Not with her undone assignment and all. She glanced over at the time on her laptop. She pursed her lips a little. Well.... she did still have another hour and a half. She'll just skip the prepare time. Sighing one last time, she clapped her hands, straightened up her back and went to work. An hour and a half later, Eli was finally finished. Proofreading it one last time, she sent it in early. This way, she wouldn't change her mind and re-do the whole report. She hurriedly slipped into her toga, tied a golden bow around her waist, and put on her golden gladiator sandals. Yawning, she went down to join Dante. She grinned like a little girl on Christmas morning. By the time they got to the party, it was already full blown. Within thirty minutes, she had already been passed on through the crowd, chatting up with everyone. Even though she was beyond tired, and just a little scared, she had to admit, it was a great party, and she was having a blast. She had tried searching for Logan and Romeu, but she couldn't find them anywhere. And after a while, she had given up on the search. She'll see them eventually. Plus, she needed to prove to Romeu that she actually partied. She had also tried to spot her boyfriend, but somehow, between the last hour and the already drunk partiers, she had lost him in the crowd. And just when she needed him the most, he was gone. She pouted as she smiled politely up at the guy. It's like no matter how many steps she took back, he'd take a step forward. She had tried to get her friend to take a hint that she was feeling uncomfortable, but she didn't seem to notice. And she wasn't about to leave her friend with that guy. She didn't trust him. She jumped a little- even though she knew it was Dante that had his hand on her. She smiled happily black at him, glancing at the guy as he backed away before starting a conversation with his friend. She turned her whole body towards him, looking up into his soulful eyes as she wrapped her arms around his neck, a giggle bubbling out of her lips. "Have I ever mentioned how adorable you are when you're jealous?"

Dante rolled his eyes it didnt matter how much he tried to act like he wasn't jealous when guys hit on Eli she could see right through it to her he was an open book, Dante wasn't a secretive guy but Eli was the only person in the world who knew his every secret, she was his girlfriend after all. He let his other hand drift to her waist and he pulled her a little closer to him, her hand still softly placed around his neck "Sometimes it nice to know that every guy on campus is drooling over you it shows i have good taste but most of them have trouble keep their hands to themselves so jealous Dante spends much more time on the surface then i would like" He said to her his eyes on hers, he loved her so much but the last few months Jealous Dante was becoming more and more like paranoid Dante, Elis friends had never been fond of him and they had always been trying to convince her to end the relationship it had become much more of an issue in the last few months what with Dante promising to stop dealing but never actually getting around to it.
Dante couldn't imagine his life without Eli, she was the best thing about him and if her friends finally got there way and she broke it off Dante didn't know what he would do, spiral out of control was probably the answer, he tried his best not to think about it but he alwas found himself day dreaming about scenearios that would mean they would be together forever; running away together, cutting jason out of his life lots of different things that really were unrealistic, the only one he could see working was proposing to her, the idea of being with her forever didn't scare him but the idea that she might say no and it would ruin there relationship did so Dante had never done anything about it.
Pushing all thoughts from his head he concentrated on the now, he smiled down at his beautiful girlfriend and pressed his lips gently against hers "You having fun?" he asked her when he pulled away. Dante had always enjoyed a good party and this one was good but he couldn't fully enjoy himself not with so many thoughts flying through his head. His phone buzzed in his pocket and Dante sighed moving his hand from Elis waste to read the test 'I want 2g of charlie for next weekend can you sort me out' Dantes heart started to beat fast, it was one of his regular clients who was much more into the hard stuff then just a bit of weed. Dante deleted the message and shoved it back into his pocket, just another problem for him to worry about. He looked down at Eli and realised that all his worries must be written all over his face because she had a look of questioning and concern on her face. Forcing a smile across his lips he kissed her again hoping she would forget.

Eli knew how Dante could be. He was the overly jealous type. And to her, it was just plain adorable. It should annoy her, but it didn't. Because to her, his fit of jealousy was his act of love and devotion to her, and there was no other person he'd rather be with. And there was definitely no other person she'd rather be with either. No doubt about it. Okay, so maybe she occasionally thought about Romeu, and how her relationship with him was great. And sure, maybe she fantasized her future with him. And perhaps her heart still raced a little every time she saw him. But she was positive she was head over heels for Dante. She loved both men. And she'd do anything for either of them. There was no doubt about that. And while she would never ever cheat on Dante, sometimes she just wished she was with Romeu instead. Because despite the fact that she was hopelessly in love with Dante, the amount of pressure her friends were putting on her to break up with Dante was getting to her. Sometimes she couldn't help to think that they were right. While she wanted to believe Dante and that he truly loved her, she couldn't. Because if he loved her, then why didn't he quit for her? If he loved her, he'd do that for her, right? It should be that way. And she knew it was hard. She knew it was easy cash, but every second he spent dealing, Elikolani can't help but worry that he'd get caught. Worry that he'd screw someone over. Worry that his client might overdose on it and pass away. Worry that he'd be sent to jail. Worry worry worry. That's all she ever did around him. No matter how much she loved him, there was always this nagging voice in her head telling her to break up with him. She didn't want to, but it was so tempting. She'd love to spend the rest of her life with Dante, but he couldn't, for the life of him, pick up the hints she's been constantly dropping. Or maybe he has, and he just didn't know how to tell her that he didn't want to spend the rest of his life with her.
She could normally read him like an open book, but when it came to his love for her, she couldn't read it. Could barely even see it. For all she knew, he was just stringing her along for a ride. But the way he looked at her.... the way he touched her..... It had to be more than just a game. It had to be more than just a fling. He had to like her, right? Did he love her though? She wasn't exactly sure. She sighed mentally. She hated this. She hated her doubts. Hated his "after school activities." Hated him for making her doubt him. Hated Romeu for being so God damn nice to her all the time. And most definitely hated herself for hating them. She forced a smile on her face, "That's not true. I don't see why any guy would drool over me. I'm just plain Eli." She disagreed, wrinkling her nose a little, uncertain why anyone would look at her like she was beautiful. She liked her hair, and perhaps her smile, but that was all she had going for her. "But if it helps, there's no one else on Earth I'd rather have." She assured, a genuine smile on her face this time. It was true. There was no one else on Earth she'd rather have, but with his side job going on, Eli was beginning to think of breaking things off and go solo for a while. No matter how much pain her heart would be in. Perhaps it'd be for the best. Give themselves a break. Sort things out. He kept promising he'd stop dealing, but he never did it. After hearing it for the third time, she learned to stop being so hopeful every time he swore he'd quit. She loved him, but it hurt her to have him break his promise to her over and over again. It hurts to be with him. But it also hurts to be without him. Him dealing drugs was killing her. Drugs was everything she went against, and here was her boyfriend selling it. Eli was sick and tired of lying to herself that it was okay. That some day, she was going to prove her friends wrong. That Dante really would quit for her. Every day, she had to tell herself that even though her friends didn't like that she was dating Dante, she was going to stick by him no matter what. It was so hard to go through day by day, picking fights with her friends because of him. It was exhausting to constantly doubt him. She didn't want to doubt him, but he hadn't given her anything to prove him otherwise.
But she couldn't leave him. She'd be a train wreck. She was too in love with him to let him go. But if letting him go meant that he would change for the better, then it shouldn't matter how big of a heart ache it would be. If she left him and he changed, then perhaps she hadn't done enough to try and get him to do it. Then maybe she wasn't enough for him. She couldn't imagine a life without him, but..... Like the saying goes, "If you love them, set them free." That usually applied to couples who has their exes fall in love with someone else, but if all it took was to take herself out of the equation, then it would be worth it, right? Dante's lips brushing against her's brought her out of her depressing thoughts. His lips were soft and sweet as he let it grace her own. She shook her head mentally. No. She couldn't do it. She wouldn't be able to go through with it. She loved Dante too much. She couldn't let him go. It'd be too painful. The pain of being with him would never compare to the pain she'd feel if they broke up. She smiled brightly at him, "Of course! I'm with you! So why wouldn't it be fun?" She replied cheerfully, grinning up at him. Her grin disappeared, and a frown grazed her face when his phone buzzed. She gave him a puzzled look as he shoved the phone back in his pocket. She had felt his heart rate speed up, and the panic had been written all over his face. Her questioned look was followed by a look of concern. She knew what it meant. She knew it was another client. But before she could ask about it, he had forced a smile upon his face and kissed her again. She knew forceful smiles. In fact, she invented them. She knew he was just trying to get her to forget what had just happened. She placed her hands on his chest, pushing him away lightly, trying to untangle her body from the arms he had wrapped around her. "Dante...." Unwilling tears were already starting to brim at her lower lids but she blinked them away. "You promised." She whispered, trying so hard to hold back her tears.

Dante looked at Elis face, he saw all the signs that she wasn't falling for his fake smile and the casual way he slipped his phone away like the text he had just recieved was just from a friend, Dante wasn't a bad liar infact he was a very good liar but that was with everyone but Eli they had been together to long and he didnt really ever want to lie to her so when he tried he always failed. He kissed her in an attempt to stop her from saying anything about what had just happened but he should have known better she wasn't going to let him get away with it and Dante didn't really know why he wanted to carry on dealing, he knew he was loosing Eli because of it but dealing was his drug he just had to do it.
Sighing as she pushed away from him he tried to step towards her but he decided against it, she looked like she was going to cry for a few moments Dante didn't know what route to take should he carry on with a lie that it wasn't anything to do with dealing or should he go with the truth. Once the question was swimming around his head he knew the best route to take, lieing to Eli and then getting found out would lead to so many more preblems then just telling her the truth. "Hey don't get upset, it was only a text" he said in a low and calm voice looking her in the eyes "Im not doing anything about it" he pulled his phone out of his pocket and held it in front of her "Look i will even turn it off if you want" he said holding down the blackberrys off button till the screen went blank.
He hoped this would help but he knew it was only a temporary solution to the problem he was the centre of. Shoving his phone back in his pocket he took that step towards and and placed the tips on his fingers on her hips dipping his head slightly so he was closwer to her level "Look Eli i'm trying this time i am" he said he didn't know if it was a lie or not, he decided it wasn't he was really going to try this time the nagging feeling in his stomach told him he wouldnt try for long but he pushed it aside to he could concentrate on making Eli happy and giving her what she wanted. "Its just going to take some time..." he paused and looked down at her face, he loved her so much and he knew she loved him but in the last few months he had started seeing the doubt in her eyes he didn't know what he would do without her probabaly hand himself over to the campus serial killer.
"Im sorry" he said after a few long seconds of silent "Can we just forget it happened and enjoy the rest of the night?" he asked her a slight tone of pleading in his voice, he didnt want to fight with her, he just wanted to kiss her and hold her until she was totally happy again, he hated ruining things for her, like this night. Looking around him he noticed a few of her friends watching them they shot evils at him as he caught eye contact but Dante just ignored them but the feeling that they were forcing negative thoughts into Elis head crept into his mind and he started to panic that she was going to end it all now and he could think of nothing else to ask but "you know i love you right? Eli?"
