A lose screw that made her stand out from most others. Obnoxious, outgoing, though charming to some degree. In her own, creative way, of course. Kitten was a massive fan of being over-the-top expressive. Whether it to get your attention, your friendship or out of simple boredom. Whatever the reason, Kitten rarely went through life unnoticed. Her bubbly, immature, inappropriate sense of humor normaly always got at least one bystander's attention. Though instead of climbing a tree to peep in someone's window, kissing a random stranger or throwing waterballoons at her own car, Kitten chose to sit today out and relax a little. She sat criss-crossed on a bench, staring at the people that passed. A couple sitting across from her had caught her main focus, though. They looked so happy. Hand-in-hand; the woman resting her head on the man's shoulder, smiling. Jealousy soon found its way to her, clawing at her insides. Love. Love was something Kitten hadn't had any intentions of longing for, though had always had a small desire in finding the right one for her. She sighed, fingering the engraved lettering on her bracelets. Within the time period that Kitten had arrived, boredom had begun to draw closer. It was like a disease, boredom was. It snuck up on you at random moments. Attacking you when you were most vulnerable. The only cure to that little rascal? Anything with the slightest bit of amusement, of course; and where better to find amusement than the Parc D'Attractions? With a grunt, Kitten kicked her long legs out, hopping off of the bench. She walked towards a small concession stand, purchasing a thing of cotton candy. Pulling apart a piece of its feathery, sugary goodness, she popped it into her mouth, she continued her evening towards the ferris wheel. Not one of her favorites, though it was a hell of a lot better than a rollercoaster, that was for sure. Rollercoasters had always given her the 'chills', and for that, she hated them. That was always a downfall for any friend she had tagging along with her, pleading her to join her on one. No matter how long they'd beg, Kitten stayed true to her stubbornnes on the matter, and rejected the offer. Maybe it was that sense of loss of control, but then again, if that were the cause- she wouldn't be riding any of the rides for fear she may not have a grip. Kitten, now trashing her 1/4th-of-the-way-finished cotton candy, stepped into the ride's line. Though it was long, it didn't take nearly the time she'd thought it would to finally get her turn. "Ticket, please mademoiselle." The ticket collector at the ride commanded, his thick french accent making it nearly impossible to understand anything but mademoiselle. She frowned, fidgeting away her embarressment. " I apologize, monsieur, but I don't have any tickets. I d- I do have money though, if that's okay?" His bland expression went unphased as he shook his head. "No, no sorry. Next in line, please." Kitten nodded, and took the walk of shame back down to the bench she started out on. She went from being bored, to wasting her cotton candy, to being hideously embarrassed by a simple slip-up. How much worse could the day have gotten? "Oh God, please don't let it rain now just because of that." She begged, stretching out her body on the cool metal frame of the bench. notes // apologies in advance if it's boring. <3 |
