words // 486 // outfit // clicky // tagged // anyone boy with a coin, T H E N M A K I N G A W I S H , A N D T O S S E D I N T H E S E A there is no perfect explanation for a sunny afternoon. the bright blue sky, the liveliness of the people, the warmth... the sun gave people a sense of happiness. almost a sense of comfort. it was almost as if the plants, the river, and even the buildings in paris became more colorful. did everyone think this way? probably not. but a young nineteen year old girl most definitely did.
maggie huntley was a plain jane. brown eyes, brown hair, fair skin. she herself did not find anything about herself striking or beautiful. she was just plain. she didn't try to impress anyone. she didn't try to show off. sure, she would see a cute guy and make mental note of it. but she would look away and not instigate anything. this was just how she was. the sunny day outside beckoned maggie as she sat by the window with her knees pulled up to her chest. a cup of steaming tea was cupped in her hands, the mint smell wafting up to her senses. today would be a perfect day to take a few pictures and take a relaxing walk. a small smile creeped up her lips as she thought about it, deciding that was how she would spend her day. even though maggie was more of a painter, she loved to take pictures. the pictures helped her to paint, almost a muse of some sort. she took one more small sip of her tea and set it on the couch side table beside her, retreating to her bedroom to change into an outfit for the day. even though maggie didn't like to impress anyone, she still love to dress in cute outfits. she had her own sense of style and class, and didn't really care if others thought it was a tad strange. she went through her drawers thoughtfully, pulling out a floral skirt, light green v-neck, and a light blue double banded belt. she smiled again, always excited by trying a new outfit. of course, all her clothes were hand-me-downs. but that didn't bother her. she quickly pulled on her outfit, heading to her jewelry stash and pulling out a golden necklace with a bow. maggie held it up to her chest, seeing if it matched. she tilted her head, deciding it would work, and pulled it on over her head. lastly, she grabbed a pair of mint colored boots and slipped them on. she didn't bother to check herself in the mirror and simply grabbed her canon camera.
the walk from her dorm to the gardens was short, but thankfully satisfying.the sun warmed maggie's arms and legs, inviting her outside. she closed her eyes, taking in a deep breath. perfect. she continued to walk, not knowing where she was going but snapping away with her camera anyway. families, couples, and stragglers such as herself walked along the pathways. maggie took it all in. peaceful. notes // NEED SOME DRAMA OR SOMETHING. |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(http://i56.tinypic.com/2zgu9hc.jpg); width: 440px; padding-top:10px;]it's you and me and we're running this town another year in university. teddy had gotten used to what was happening since it was his junior year. freshmen year had been all about finding where he fit in, sophomore was more relaxing but now that it was his junior year he finally feltl like it was going to be okay. teddy rolled over from his bed thumping onto the ground. he ran a hand through his messy brown hair and knew that he would have to get ready for the day. when he had finished showering, teddy picked up a grey t-shirt and a dark pair of jeans putting both on. he looked in the mirror, his blue eyes bright and fixing his hair. teddy never knew how to style his hair. for a guy who had been brought up in a family that prided themselves on looks, he didn't even know how to deal with his own. he sighed messing his hair up with his hand. this would have to do for him.
once teddy saw the bright sun, he picked up a pair of sunglasses and put them over his eyes ready to go out. he didn't have anywhere specific to go today so wherever he went, he would go along with it. he put his hands around a thermos cup of coffee as he went down to the gardens. he thought that it would be a nice way to start his morning. it was relaxing there and he didn't know where everyone else would be this morning and it wasn't like teddy to follow the crowd anyway. once he was out, the weather was beautiful. he didn't understand why anyone would be inside when this weather was out. he started to walk on the sidewalk of the garden trying to see if anyone was around but it seemed like everyone must be inside picking up breakfast or shopping. teddy didn't bother texting anyone to see. he didn't want to bother with their plans if he wasn't invited.
teddy followed the path to see where it would bring. his head up high. the weather was adding to his mood. he saw different people but no one that he really knew. teddy stopped and decided to sit on the bench. while the walk was nice, he didn't feel like going any farther. he wanted to think about where he was actually going. teddy got lost in his thoughts for a moment before he was snapped out. teddy recognized a cute brunette walking on the pathway. teddy didn't know who she was or what her name was but he had seen her around the university. teddy hadn't brought himself to spark a conversation with her. for one, she wasn't studying the same field as him. two, she was a year younger. three, well teddy doubted that she'd ever be interested in talking to him. teddy had gotten very insecure with girls since high school. he didn't know what it was but it was like he had taken a few steps back from where he had been a few years ago. girls in high school were easy, smile at them and they seemed to be your's. college girls were different. there had to be work to them. well at least the ones that teddy was interested in. he had a smile on his face hoping that maybe he'd catch her attention in some way. tag: maggie word count: 562 lyric credit: hot chelle rae notes: hope you don't mind |
